How to install DVDStyler 3.0.4 on Ubuntu 17.10, 18.04

  DVDStyler 3.0.4 Authoring Tool released is a cross-platform free DVD authoring application for the creation of professional-looking DVDs. It allows not only burning of video files on DVD that can be played practically on any standalone DVD player, but also creation of individually designed DVD menus. It is Open Source Software and is completely free.


DVDStyler 3.0.4 Changelog:
  • fixed handling of files with multiple video streams (pictures, video thumbnails or cover arts)
  • added possibility to play video from internal file browser
  • win32/win64: updated Manolito's VBR plug-in

Installation instructions:

    Open terminal and insert command line...


$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/dvdstyler

$ sudo apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get install dvdstyler

    I have been using dvdstyler for many years and it is the only one for me, I'm 82 years old. I wish it could be downloaded from the normal ubuntu software method.

    Installed in Ubuntu 18.04.2, it doesn't work, error message "invalid data when processing input", any one has an idea why? Thanks
