(gedit:3077): Gtk-WARNING **: 12:45:40.375: Theme parsing error: gtk-main.css:73:38: Failed to import: Error opening file /usr/share/themes/Radiance/gtk-3.20/apps/gnome-builder.css: No such file or directory

** (gedit:3077): WARNING **: 12:46:06.294: Set document metadata failed: Setting attribute metadata::gedit-position not supported

I get this error message when trying to install version 5.7 under Ubuntu 18.04.
    Can you help?

    1. did you ever get a fix for this as i am getting the same error

    2. You can replace gedit with any other text editor of your choice e.g. nano, vi, vim. So, the command would look like `sudo nano /usr/share/applications/sweethome3d-5.7.desktop`

    Thanks for helping

  7. Says command "gedit" not found

  8. That means gedit is not installed on your system.
    Try the following :

    sudo apt-get install gedit

  10. Sorry , why do you move the software to /opt when it's in its own directory to begin with ?
apart from the /opt replaced by the directory where it was installed , i did what you described, it doesn't work as in it doesn't start SH3D while double clicking SWH3D from nautilus starts the program

  11. Para instalar en deepin 20, cambie gedit por editor de la siguiente linea:

    $ sudo gedit /usr/share/applications/sweethome3d-5.5.2.desktop

  12. First of all thanks for the good guide!
I can see that some other have problems with gedit.
One solution is to install gedit - another solution is to use another installed text editor such as nano that often is installed on Mint distibutions. I replaced nano with gedit and that did the trick for me :-)

  13. Fantástico, pude hacerlo. Solo cambie por la última versión
    Saludos desde Argentina

  14. This is old but just use the Snap!
