Install Firefox 49.0 Released with HTML5 on Ubuntu 16.04

   Firefox 49.0 Released Added context menu controls to HTML5 audio and video that let users loops files or play files at 1.25x speed. Fixed an issue that prevented users from updating Firefox for Mac unless they originally installed Firefox.

Firefox 49 Changelog :

Installation instructions:

Add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the Firefox package:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-security/ppa $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install firefox

Optional, to remove Firefox, do:

$ sudo apt-get remove firefox

To check your Firefox version on Ubuntu, go to Help > About Firefox.
