How to Install PhotoQT 1.4.1.1 Image Viewer on Ubuntu 16.04

   PhotoQT 1.4.1.1  is a simple, free and open-source image viewer that comes in very handy with its basic file management and image manipulation features. It allows you to rotate, flip and zoom images or delete, rename or move them. You can also check EXIF information and show images in a slide show.

Installation instructions:

 Open up a terminal window (Ctrl+Alt+T) and run the following two lines of commands.

$ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:lumas/photoqt

$ sudo apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get install photoqt



Install via package if PPA is not up to date

32bit OS
$ wget http://photoqt.org/pkgs/photoqt_1.4.1-1_i386_mint_ubuntults.deb -O photoqt_1.4.1-1_i386.deb

$ sudo dpkg -i photoqt_1.4.1-1_i386.deb

64bit OS
$ wget http://photoqt.org/pkgs/photoqt_1.4.1-1_amd64_mint_ubuntults.deb -O photoqt_1.4.1-1_amd64.deb

$ sudo dpkg -i photoqt_1.4.1-1_amd64.deb
