For those sticking to the latest Komodo Edit (10.1.1 so far), you can use the official Linux binaries though there’s no Unity Menubar support.
Installation instructions:
Open terminal from Unity Dash, App Launcher, or via Ctrl+Alt+T keys. When it opens, run below commands one by one:
32bit OS
| $ wget http://downloads.activestate.com/Komodo/releases/10.1.1/Komodo-Edit-10.1.1-17414-linux-x86.tar.gz $ tar -xvf Komodo-Edit-10.1.1-17414-linux-x86.tar.gz $ cd Komodo-Edit-10.1.1-17414-linux-x86 $ sudo ./install.sh |
64bit OS
| $ wget http://downloads.activestate.com/Komodo/releases/10.1.1/Komodo-Edit-10.1.1-17414-linux-x86_64.tar.gz $ tar -xvf Komodo-Edit-10.1.1-17414-linux-x86_64.tar.gz $ cd Komodo-Edit-10.1.1-17414-linux-x86_64 $ sudo ./install.sh |
Option, remove the Komodo Edit 10.1 via command:
| $ sudo rm -rf ~/Komodo-Edit* /opt/Komodo-Edit* ~/.local/share/applications/komodo-edit* /usr/local/share/applications/komodo-edit* |
