How to Install Kdenlive 16.08.2 Video Editor on Ubuntu 16.10

   Kdenlive 16.08.2 released is the second service release of the 16.08 cycle with a total of 36 commits fixing many keyframe related problems as well as improvements to proxy clip rendering, user interface, workflow and compilation issues.

Installation instructions: 

   Kdenlive 16.08.2 is included in Ubuntu software repository.

   Open terminal and insert command line...

$ sudo apt-get install kdenlive

You can install the latest stable version from PPA, simply run  of commands in terminal.

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-stable $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kdenlive

Additional packages that are required by Kdenlive .

$ sudo apt install ffmpeg dvgrab dvdauthor genisoimage vlc
