How to Install GnuCash 2.6.15 Accounting Software on Ubuntu 16.04, 16.10

GnuCash is personal and small-business financial-accounting software, freely licensed under the GNU GPL and available for GNU/Linux, BSD, Solaris, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.

Designed to be easy to use, yet powerful and flexible, GnuCash allows you to track bank accounts, stocks, income and expenses. As quick and intuitive to use as a checkbook register, it is based on professional accounting principles to ensure balanced books and accurate reports.

The GnuCash development team announces GnuCash 2.6.15, the fifteenth maintenance release in the 2.6-stable series.

Between 2.6.14 and 2.6.15, the following bugfixes were accomplished:

  •     Changed the default value for date format in Business Options
  •     Change report resizing when not in view

Install  GnuCash 2.6.15 on Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus and Ubuntu 16.10 Yakkety 

Open terminal and insert command line...

$ sudo apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get install gnucash
